IPL CAUTION

CAUTION

Unfortunately in the last few years we have seen the emergence of ‘cheap’ IPL systems from overseas manufacturers, looking to profit on the popularity of IPL/Laser treatments. These IPL systems are produced with limited capability resulting in cheaper prices per session, yet ultimately require more sessions to achieve a result.

Many of these substandard IPL systems only have the capability to ‘shock’ hair into a regressive phase, meaning hair reduction is only temporary, not permanent. They also have the potential to stimulate more hair growth (termed ‘paradoxical hair growth’). 

Our CUTERA IPL is a proven Medical system which has the technology to give optimal results. With extensive scientific studies and proven efficacy, it was granted FDA approval (Federal Drug Administration of America) and approval by the Australian TGA.

The Dermal Clinicians at Fletcher Brown have many years experience using medical grade IPL technology and have completed a four year university degree covering all aspects of skin, plus the theory & practicum of Laser & IPL Technology.  We offer safer, more effective IPL hair removal & skin rejuvenation treatments at an affordable price.

Negative side effects are rare in the hands of an experienced technician. Recently some Current affair programs have shown some disturbing stories about poorly performed IPL treatments.
